Bushings and thrust washers by material
Ten product lines made in one plant in Jiaxing. Start from the material if you know it; start from the shape or the application if you do not. Every one is available in standard sizes and to your drawing.
By material
The bearing material decides load, speed, lubrication and life. These are the materials we manufacture, each with its own page, sizes and limits.

Hardened steel bushings
Heat-treated steel sleeves, HRC 58–62, for slow, heavy, lubricated pivots on construction machinery.
HRC 58–62
Graphite bronze bushings
Bronze with solid-lubricant plugs for slow, hot, heavy or intermittent motion without grease.
Solid lubricant
Sintered bronze bushings
JBM-700 oil-impregnated porous bronze for small motors, fans and appliance shafts.
JBM-700 · oil-impregnated
Plastic bushings
JBM-30 series POM, nylon, UHMWPE and PTFE bushings where weight, corrosion or electrical isolation rules out metal.
JBM-30 · polymer
By shape
Any of the materials above can be supplied as a plain sleeve, a flanged bushing or a thrust washer, or machined to your drawing.

Flanged bushings
A flange locates the bushing axially and takes light thrust. Bronze, bimetal, PTFE composite and steel.
Radial + light axial
Thrust washers
Flat rings for the axial load, in bronze, bimetal, graphite bronze and PTFE composite.
Axial
Custom bushings to drawing
Special geometry, split bushings, oil-groove patterns and large diameters. Bronze samples in 3–5 days.
Made to order
How to choose between them
Start with lubrication. If the joint will be greased on schedule, a lubricated metal bushing (bronze, bimetal or hardened steel) carries the highest loads for the lowest cost. If it will not, or must not, be greased, choose a self-lubricating construction: PTFE or POM composite, graphite-plugged bronze or oil-impregnated sintered bronze.
Then look at load and speed together. Slow and heavy (pins, pivots, linkages) favours hardened steel, bimetal and graphite bronze. Faster rotation with moderate load favours bronze with oil, PTFE composite or sintered bronze. Shock, misalignment and dirt favour the tougher solid bronzes over thin-walled constructions.
The table summarises where each product line sits. When two fit, send the duty cycle with the enquiry and our engineers will state which one they would run, and why.
| Product line | JBM series | Lubrication | Load | Speed | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze (cast, machined) | JBM-600 – 640 | Grease or oil | High | Low – medium | Pumps, presses, agricultural and construction pivots |
| Wrapped bronze (CuSn8 strip) | JBM-090 / 092 | Grease | High | Low – medium | Volume pivots, agricultural and light construction joints |
| Bimetal (steel-backed bronze) | JBM-800 | Grease or oil | High | Low – medium | Engine, transmission, hydraulic and chassis joints |
| Hardened steel | JBM-ST | Grease | Very high, slow | Very low | Excavator, loader and rig pins |
| Graphite bronze | JBM-650 | Solid lubricant | High | Low | Furnace, steel-mill, dam gate and intermittent joints |
| PTFE composite (DU-type) | JBM-10 | None (dry) | Medium | Low – medium | Hydraulic cylinders, gear pumps, hinges, automotive |
| POM composite | JBM-20 | Initial grease | Medium | Low – medium | Chassis, steering, door and seat mechanisms |
| Sintered bronze | JBM-700 | Oil-impregnated | Low – medium | Medium – high | Small motors, fans, appliances, office machines |
| Plastic | JBM-30 series | None | Low | Low – medium | Light mechanisms, food, corrosive or insulating duties |
Qualitative positioning. The JBM series number identifies the product line on drawings and quotations; each product page carries its own limits; do not compare numbers across product lines without the operating conditions behind them.
What is made here
Bronze bushings are turned and bored in-house on 25 CNC machines from cast and solid bronze stock, Ø3 to Ø1000 mm. Bimetal strip is sintered and rolled in our own plant before it is formed into bushings, so the bond between steel back and bearing layer is under our control. Composite bushings run on automated lines: 20 lines in total produce around two million pieces a month across the product lines.
Every part is inspected against the customer drawing; a coordinate-measuring-machine report is issued on request. The plant is certified to ISO 9001; automotive programmes run under IATF 16949 with PPAP Level 3 submissions.
Frequently asked questions
Which bushing material is best for heavy loads?
For slow, heavy, greased pivots: hardened steel or bimetal. For heavy loads where grease cannot be renewed: graphite-plugged bronze. Solid bronze such as C93200 or C86300 covers heavy loads with shock and misalignment when lubrication is available.
Which bushing works without lubrication?
PTFE composite (DU-type) bushings run dry. Graphite-plugged bronze carries its own solid lubricant. Sintered bronze holds oil in its pores for the life of a light-duty shaft. POM composite needs one initial charge of grease.
Can I order a small quantity or a single sample?
Yes. There is no minimum order quantity and samples of standard and custom parts are free.
Do you supply to my existing part number?
We quote against a supplier part number, OE reference or competitor designation after comparing the dimensions and material. Interchangeability is confirmed part by part, never assumed.
Not sure which material? Send the duty cycle.
Load, speed, temperature, lubrication and the environment: our engineers reply within 12 hours with the material they would run and a quotation.
