Bushings by industry and machine
The same pin joint is a different bearing problem on an excavator, a tractor and a gearbox. These pages walk through the joints on each machine, the bushing material that suits each one and what to specify.

How we match a bushing to a joint
Every joint reduces to five numbers and two conditions: radial load, axial load, sliding speed or oscillation frequency, temperature, pin diameter and length, and then lubrication (greased, oiled, dry, in the working fluid) and environment (dirt, water, chemicals). The specific load, force divided by bore × length, and the PV product decide the material; lubrication and environment decide the construction within it.
The application pages apply that method to real machines. Where Bushing MFG has first-party experience with a joint it is stated; where a recommendation is general engineering practice it is stated as such.
Send the joint, not just the part.
