Quality system and certifications

Bushing MFG runs its plant under an ISO 9001 quality management system; automotive customers are served under IATF 16949 with PPAP Level 3 submissions. This page lists what is certified, what is measured, what is tested and which documents can accompany an order, with nothing added that we cannot show.

Bushing MFG (Jiaxing Bushing MFG, JBM) is certified to ISO 9001, holds IATF 16949 and submits PPAP at Level 3 for its automotive customers, measures parts on an in-house coordinate measuring machine, salt-spray tests to 720 hours and declares RoHS and REACH compliance per part number.

  • ISO 9001 quality management system for all production
  • IATF 16949 and PPAP Level 3 for automotive programmes
  • In-house three-coordinate measuring machine (CMM); dimensional report on request
  • Salt-spray testing up to 720 hours
  • Material certificates for incoming bronze stock; EN 10204 3.1 reports at part-number level
  • RoHS-compliant constructions declared per part number; REACH declarations available

ISO 9001 and IATF 16949

The plant is certified to ISO 9001, the general quality-management standard, and every order, whether for construction machinery, hydraulics, pumps or vehicles, runs under that system: controlled drawings, incoming inspection, in-process checks and final inspection against the customer drawing. For automotive customers the plant also holds IATF 16949, the automotive standard built on ISO 9001, which adds what those customers audit for: documented process control, measurement-system analysis, control plans, corrective-action discipline and supplier management.

Copies of both certificates are available on request with a quotation or for supplier registration.

PPAP Level 3 for automotive programmes

For automotive programmes we support the Production Part Approval Process at submission Level 3: production parts together with the complete documentation package (design records, process flow, control plan, measurement results, material and performance test results, appearance approval where applicable, and the Part Submission Warrant). The scope of the package is agreed with the customer at nomination, and the parts submitted are made on the production process, not on a prototype route.

State the PPAP level and the customer-specific requirements on the enquiry so they are priced and scheduled with the parts.

Incoming material: certificates and 3.1 reports

Incoming bronze stock is covered by the supplier’s material certificate, available on request with the order. This is a raw-material document: it certifies the composition and properties of the bronze, not of the finished bushing. Where the order requires it, an EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate is provided at part-number level.

The bimetal strip is a different case, because it is made here. The steel backing and the sintered bearing layer are bonded in our own sintering and rolling process, so the material and the bond are controlled at the source rather than certified by a strip supplier.

Dimensional inspection: in-house CMM

Dimensions are measured on an in-house three-coordinate measuring machine. A CMM dimensional report for the delivered parts is issued on request; it is not enclosed with every shipment by default, so ask for it at quotation if your receiving inspection needs it.

Put “CMM report required” on the enquiry to have it included with the first sample and every production batch.

Salt-spray testing up to 720 hours

Salt-spray testing of up to 720 hours is available for corrosion-resistance verification. The duration to be met is agreed per part number at quotation.

RoHS and REACH

RoHS-compliant constructions are available and compliance is declared per part number, because the answer depends on the alloy and bearing layer chosen: some bearing bronzes and linings contain lead, others do not. REACH declarations are provided per part number in the same way.

Lead-free bimetal bearing layers (CuSn10, CuSn6.5P, AlSn20Cu) are a standard option, not a special. Ask for the lead-free route on the enquiry when the programme requires it.

Why making the material matters for quality

Most quality problems in plain bearings begin before machining: a weak bond between backing and lining, a lining of uneven thickness, a bronze of the wrong composition. Bushing MFG controls these at the source. Bimetal strip is sintered and rolled in the plant. Bronze is turned and bored on 25 CNC machines from certified stock. PTFE and POM composite bushings run on automated forming lines, 20 lines in total, at an output of around two million pieces a month: a repeatable process rather than a job shop, so the same part comes out the same way in the tenth batch as in the first.

Documents available with an order

What can accompany a quotation, a sample or a production batch, and when it is provided.

DocumentWhen provided
ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certificate copiesOn request, with the quotation or for supplier registration
PPAP Level 3 packageAutomotive programmes; scope agreed at nomination
CMM dimensional reportOn request; specify at quotation
Material certificate for incoming bronze stockOn request, per order
EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificateOn request, per part number
RoHS and REACH declarationsPer part number, on request
Salt-spray testing (up to 720 h)Where specified on the order; duration agreed at quotation

Inspection documentation for a shipment is agreed at quotation; name the documents on the enquiry so they are planned with the parts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Bushing MFG ISO 9001 certified?

Yes. The plant holds ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certificates; copies are provided on request with a quotation or for supplier registration.

Do you support PPAP?

Yes, at submission Level 3 for automotive programmes: production parts with the complete documentation package, scope agreed with the customer at nomination.

Can you supply material certificates?

Yes. Incoming bronze stock is covered by the mill certificate, and an EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate is provided at part-number level when the order requires it. Bimetal strip is made in-house, so its material and bond are controlled at the source.

Do you provide inspection reports with the parts?

A CMM dimensional report is issued on request; specify it at quotation and it accompanies the sample and each production batch. Shipment inspection documentation is agreed when the order is placed.

Are your bushings RoHS compliant?

RoHS-compliant constructions are available and compliance is declared per part number, because it depends on the alloy and bearing layer chosen. Lead-free bimetal bearing layers (CuSn10, CuSn6.5P, AlSn20Cu) are a standard option.

Do you do salt-spray testing?

Yes, up to 720 hours. The duration to be met is agreed per part number at quotation.

Ask for the documents with the quotation.

Certificates, PPAP level, CMM report, material certificates: name them on the enquiry and they arrive with the parts. Samples are free; there is no minimum order.
