Samonastawne ceramiczne łożyska kulkowe

Samonastawne ceramiczne łożyska kulkowe wykorzystują ceramiczne kulki i wymagają minimalnej regulacji. Są one najczęściej stosowane w aplikacjach wymagających łożysk o dużym kącie obrotu (ponad 10000 stopni) i aplikacjach, w których wymagany jest szybki ruch (jeden obrót na minutę).

Pierścień wewnętrzny może się swobodnie obracać, ale bieżnia zewnętrzna nie może poruszać się osiowo z powodu interferencji generowanej między częścią ustalającą a bieżnią pierścienia zewnętrznego. Ten typ łożysk wymaga bardzo niewielkiego dodatkowego luzu na smar w celu zmniejszenia tarcia.
